Firstly, it must be said, that we are absolutely head over heels in love with Australian extra virgin olive oil. So, it only makes sense that it is the 'hero' in every one of our natural skincare products. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E which provide anti-aging benefits and help restore skin smoothness. Olive oil won't clog your pores as it penetrates deeply into the skin while providing a cleansing effect. Olive oil is also one of the most sustainable oils, due to the fact the trees require little water, do not need to be sprayed with chemicals, and the olives can be harvested year after year without destroying the trees.

Where we can, we source our ingredients directly from the producers. This ensures that we know exactly how our ingredients are grown, that they are chemical free and grown and harvested naturally, ethically and sustainably. These principals are really important to us, and we love to support our local farmers and producers.

Every single ingredient we use is natural and contains no chemicals. The majority of our ingredients are self-explanatory. The following ingredients are commonly queried, so here are explanations of what they are and why we use them:

• Borax (sodium borate): Borax is a naturally mined salt and used in skincare as a preservative and to bind the water and oils together. 
• Parfum: Olieve and Olie use parfum as a natural preservative in their product. O&O believe it is the most natural, safe, effective and gentle preservative available. It is derived from vanilla and almond and approved for use in organic skincare by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
