What is THERAPEUTIC Massage?
Therapeutic massage can be deep or shallow, gentle or strong – treatment will be catered to your specific needs.
Trigger Point therapy for problem areas is targeted short bursts of pressure to release compacted and constricted muscle fibres, encouraging the muscle to relax; relieving pain and improving mobility . Corrective postural advice and exercises may be given in this appointment to further improve the effects of the treatment, strengthen muscles and encourage better overall health.
Therapeutic massage techniques are ideal for addressing:
• Muscular tension and stiffness
• Postural dysfunction
• Preparation or recovery from sports events (e.g.. marathon)
• Tension headaches caused by poor postural alignment
• Pain relief
• Rehabilitation from injury or trauma
• Lymphatic issues
A therapeutic massage is generally considered more gentle than a remedial massage.
