The FORTRESS Spikey Ball is harder making it ideal for hitting those hard to reach spots like glutes, traps and erector spinae muscles. If you haven't used this handy tool before it is a wonderful portable option for muscle recovery and pain relief for many parts of the body including upper back, gluteal muscles and feet.  If you spend a lot of time at a desk or driving then a spiky massage ball can assist the release of tight muscles after a long day or a workout.

How To Use 

For Feet - simply using your body weight either seated or standing you can easily roll out the fascia on the soles of your feet by rocking the ball backwards and forwards from heel to toe.

For Upper Back - laying down on the floor using a fitness or yoga mat, you are targeting the muscles that sit parallel to the spine and the shoulder blade, focus on slow deep breathing and your body weight will create the pressure required to target the tight muscles.  If you can reposition the ball after a minute in each spot down the erector spinae muscles that sit either side of the spine, ending just above the cleft of the sacrum.  To do the whole back in a timely fashion it should take approx 15-20 minutes. At the same time you are in this position you are also stretching the tight muscles on the  anterior (front) side of the body, great for office workers/screen users/remote workers.

For Glutes - similar to back muscles you will be using your body weight to apply pressure to trigger points in the gluteal muscles.
