Botanical Tulips Tea Towel
Tulipa gesneriana, or Didier's Tulip, from the four-volume 17th century work The Gottorfer Codex painted by the German Johannes Simon Holtzbecker.
The codex consists of high-quaity flower paintings and originated from the library at Gottorp Castle in Slesvig. The books took 10 years to complete and documented the Duke of Gottorp's flower garden just outside the castle. At the time is was the most famous garden of its kind in northern Germany.
This beautiful range of tea towels is printed on a 100% Panama weave cotton.
Each tea towel measures 70cm x 50cm and includes a woven hanging loop and full care instructions.
